Lots of cats turn their nose up and fridge-temperature food which can make things even trickier. They don\u2019t like to make it easy. Especially if you have a grazer on your hands. But there are ways to protect your cat\u2019s food in warmer weather.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, let\u2019s start with storage. If your cat doesn\u2019t mind a more chilled meal, then definitely think about storing their wet food in the fridge. This will keep their food as fresh as possible, especially if you don\u2019t tend to feed them a whole tin all at once. Resealable lids for tins are available, which only keeps the food fresher! If the fridge isn\u2019t their thing, look to keep their wet food in a cool dry storage space away from direct sunlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rules are the same when it comes to feeding. The coolest room in the house is your best bet for serving up dinner. Find a shady corner and maybe feed your cat little and often rather than a whole tin at a time. Cats tend to have a reduced appetite in the heat as it is, but wet food really helps them to take on water as well as their required nutrients on sunny days. Food can easily dry out and spoil in the sun, and you\u2019ve got to watch out for any lingering flies that might also fancy a meal! Always keep a check on their food bowl and if their meal isn\u2019t looking so fresh, throw it and start again. It isn\u2019t a waste when it comes to your cat\u2019s well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Feeling fancy? <\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re really going all out, you could look at serving their meal over ice for extra points! Dry food is much more simple.
