Every year the weird gap between Christmas and New Year has us all confused, napping almost as much as the cats and wondering what day it is. By the time we\u2019re ready to party, and welcome in a brand new year, here\u2019s how to have your plans prepped for your purr machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Way to keep your cat safe on New Year\u2019s Eve:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fireworks<\/strong> – Keep your cat safe and snuggly indoors (especially those city dwellers) and provide a cosy corner where they can curl up will help keep their mind at ease. A great extra for chilling out the tabbies can be found in calming spot on treatment or a plug in diffuser. Both use natural ingredients and pheromones to promote feelings of reassurance and wellbeing for your little ones, boosting the zen on NYE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Party guests<\/strong> – If you opt to host this NYE, build your cat into your plans. To help your house of merry makers do the right thing, we recommend a full briefing to all party-goers to leave the sleeping lion be. Unnecessary fuss \/ attention \/ drunken kisses (you know the ones I mean) can lead to crabby cats, especially those that are less fond of socialising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food<\/strong> – when putting on a party, we suggest banning the cats from the buffet altogether – they\u2019re rife with tummy upset opportunities. I find it hard to resist polishing off a plate of cocktail sausages when presented – our cats have no chance. Serve up their own special supper pre-party and you should have a satisfied pal with a full tum, who\u2019ll snooze through the festivities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Routine<\/strong> – cats thrive off a regular schedule. These guys really have their days planned out to the minute, so try to keep as much of their day the same in the lead up to the evening\u2019s antics. This will keep your kitten calm and avoid any unnecessary stress they didn\u2019t schedule in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just the cats<\/strong> – OK real talk\u2026 New Year\u2019s can be a flop. The annual build up to keep yourself awake to see in the new year, pop the same old prosecco, endure a regrettable new year\u2019s snog (cheeky), only to be in bed by 12.07 and have a hangover on the 1st of Jan. New year, same me. So why not keep the guestlist strictly feline, and see in the new year just you and your favourite, knowing they\u2019re safe and sound. Throw a couple of yarn balls when the clock strikes 12 and snuggle on the sofa with your ultimate purry cushion to bring in the year as you mean to go on, cuddling up with your cat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
