Looking for something super simple but ridiculously cute to do with your cat this Christmas, that isn’t going to break the bank? Why not DIY your very own cat paw Christmas bauble out of air dry clay?! It’s super easy, and you end up with the cutest trinket to adorn your tree!
Step by Step Guide:
- Simply take your air dry clay and roll it out into your preferred shape of bauble. We opted for a simple oval, but you can get creative. The clay might require a little sprinkle of water to become more mouldable!
2. Next, find something you can easily pierce a hole in the clay with, for example a chopstick! Take your tool and poke a hole at the top of your decoration so you’ll be able to hang it.
3. Thirdly, select some ribbon or twine – colour scheme is up to you of course but the more Christmassy the better. Loop your ribbon through the hole in the clay and secure with a bow, creating a loop to hang your ornament from the tree.
4. The main event! Being as gentle as possible, you’ll need your cat. Take one of their paws and press them into the clay to create a little pawprint. Depending on how sticky your clay is, you might want to use some clingfilm as a barrier to stop any fur getting stuck! This will create an adorable imprint of your cat’s personal pawprint.
5. Leave your clay to dry out for 24 hours, and then you should have your very own cat paw print decoration to hang on your tree this Christmas!
BONUS POINTS – why not take it one step further and find yourself some air-dry-clay paint and add some Christmassy designs on top!
